RAHU & KETU

The northern and southern nodes of the moon.

Arguably the most valuable points in a chart to study; the head and the tail of the dragon indicate our very reason for being; showing us the lessons we have incarnated to obtain and the path and direction in which our lives are destined to follow.

They are the beholders and bestowers of all karmic bills and blessings, which supports the understanding and observation of the fact they without question have the greatest impact on human life; for better or for worse. One may stumble along, being battered about by the winds of seemingly random bad luck, effectively blind to ones dharma - ones true reason for being born and purpose for existing. This is the norm in our culture, as educational systems function to shape a young person with the mould that produces something that will fit into a system who’s foundational basis is in control. However, this limitation can be relieved through the study and understanding of their function, in the world - but more importantly in your world.

RAHU - The North Node.

Rahu dictates the direction in which one’s life is naturally inclined and one’s thoughts are directed. The house in which Rahu is placed in the birth chart will dictate the area of life to which one should direct one’s attention. The alignment with the things which this placement describes, brings ultimate soul satisfaction.

There will be a marked lack of experience and skill in this area, thus, ones current incarnation has taken place so as to build experience and therefore satisfy subconscious desire’s that cause one to remain longing, desirous and attached.

The successful attainment of mastery of the area of life in which Rahu is concentrated towards, depends on the ability to balance this yearning with the necessary attention that must be paid towards the area in which Ketu - The South Node is placed. The axis must be balanced for fulfillment if the needs of the Nodes are to be met.

KETU - The South Node

Always 180 degrees - directly opposite to Rahu (the North Node) - Ketu (The South Node) indicates the direction from which one has come from - indicating a person’s natural talent and knowledge reserves. The location of Ketu within a person’s chart indicates where the soul is mature and has both experience and skill.

This area will indicate where a person may become uptight, due to having a particular way in which they like it to be handled or dealt with… or negligent, due to a subconscious awareness of experience and consequential lack of feeling for a need to pay attention to this area. however,

The nurturing and balancing of the aspects of one’s life which are indicated by Ketu’s placement, allows for the proper development of the area of life in which Rahu is located - therefore balancing the axis and fulfilling the purpose for incarnating.
